Please come in!

As soon as I saw pics of the apartment on the internet I had this
positive vibe about the place. In spite of other offers, which sounded
equally appealing, I convinced my "better half" to go with this cozy
little flat on Grossbeerenstrasse. I simply didn't want to spend a month living
in a sterile semi-hotel apartment somewhere in stadt mitte. It ended up
being a very good decision. The flat itself is much bigger than it looks
on the internet photos - more than enough room for 2 people and one large

dog to settle in and make it their home. We loved the many
details - books, postcards, posters, plants etc. which come with the
apartment. It really is like living in a genuine home, even though
originally someone else's. Soon enough it becomes your own. Also, the
neighboorhood is lovely with various and colorful (not to mention
affordable) restaurants a mere 10 minute walk from the apartment. Just
about the only thing we didn't like was the ultra-steep staircase which
leads to the apartment, even though, in retrospect, I'd have to say
that a month of climbing up those steps 6 times a day works wonders on
your leg muscles. All in all, a very positive experience that we'd
recommend to anyone looking for a "home away from home" in one of the
prettiest parts of Berlin.
