the location: smack dab in the middle of all the things you need. The local supermarket is literally 2 minutes away; the best pizza slice place in Kreuzburg, not only for the pizza but for the staff, is 3.41 minutes away. With a good pair of shoes and inspiration for fresh air, you can get a wonderful view of the city, you can eat at the famous Curry 36 (which you can see from google earth), drink and smoke in the back room of Terry Explosion on Yorckstr and explore the rest of Berlin from centrally located Merhingdamm U-Bahn station.
the place: clean! well organized little bungalow that gets a special tone of light in the afternoon and has all the things you need to live. Everything worked and it was a joy to live in a place with so much character and style. From the gorgeous wood planked floors to the high ceilings it gave me a feeling of home right away. We enjoyed it so much we would stay in there the entire afternoon. With lots of books to read and even educational cassettes to listen to, you will find entertainment and enlightenment at your fingertips.
the host: a Berliner for more than four years, Keith knows what going on, especially in Kreuzberg. We went to all kinds of fun and crazy nights with his suggestions not too far away. Keith is a new and trustworthy friend that was really there to make our stay a pleasant and successful one. I like him even though he said I was fat.
