Dorothy's Place is located on the fourth (European) floor, which is actually the fifth, or top level. There are a total of four very large windows, which means lots of light. There is no elevator in the building, but instead a charming wooden stairway, which, if you are not accustomed to such a climb, may well leave you breathless. Caveat emptor!
The house is an official Altbau (old building), which means it survived the bombings of World War II. The location of the apartment is extremely quiet without any street noise whatsoever.
On the other hand, there is a main shopping street just around the corner, which includes markets, restaurants, shops, bars, cafes and nightclubs. Viktoria Park, arguably one of the prettiest in all of Berlin, is at the end of the street (about 40 meters). All forms of public transportation are very close by as well.
Smoking tolerated but not preferred.
